Man Fires Gun at Greenway

Firing a weapon for recreational purposes near a neighborhood or home is against the law. It’s also against the law to discharge your gun while on the Greenway… behind hole 13 of the Old Fort Park Golf Course. Murfreesboro Police had to respond after receiving a call that some had fired multiple shots on the Greenway. 23-Year old Patrick George told officers he fired about 6-rounds. George, who is from Fayetteville, TN, now faces reckless endangerment charges and unlawful possession of a weapon in a public recreation area. By the way, no one was injured when the weapon was fired as the event was reported after the park had closed. He will appear before the judge on June 9th.
