A man was shot in the back on Leaf Avenue in Murfreesboro Sunday morning. Police responded to the home where they found victim Tresdon Forrest Stephens in the living room. The incident report was labeled as an aggravated robbery and aggravated assault. 

The person who called the police told officers that two subjects attempted to force their way into the home and fired two shots in the process. The complainant said that the two men had on dark clothing and masks.

The two culprits got away and have not been caught. The victim was flown by helicopter to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Detectives are currently investigating.
