The victim, who often called the Murfreesboro Motel home, was reportedly intoxicated when hit. When paramedics arrived Climer still had a heartbeat and was quickly transported to the hospital where he later died.

The location of where the accident occurred is the site of much sadness. Another man who was homeless was struck and killed under the same South Church Street bridge in October of 2015.

On October 18, 2015, 27 year old Austin Sienk from Utah was hit by a train while walking down the tracks. Sienk was said to be wearing headphones when an approaching train struck him from behind.

In September of 2015, a homeless man by the name of Lamont Lindsey died under the same bridge. However, Lindsey reportedly died of natural causes and was not struck by a train.

Again, 47 year old Jamie Climer died in the accident on Wednesday (2/1/17) night. He was struck by a CSX train under the South Church Street bridge.
