Around 2:00 on Wednesday afternoon, a man in a motorized wheelchair was struck by an oncoming car in Murfreesboro. The accident occurred directly off the Rutherford County square.

After the collision, witnesses ran to the victim's aid. Sgt. Kyle Evans with the Murfreesboro Police Department confirmed that the man complained of a very minor injury to his leg but there were no visible injuries.

The subject was transported to St Thomas Rutherford Hospital by ambulance after the crash.
