Man who allegedly fired gun towards children will head to court on Monday

No one suffered injuries when a man allegedly fired three rounds into a group of adults and children this past October outside of a Keystone Drive home. However, the subject was apprehended and is now awaiting his court date in the local jail.

Two of the rounds struck the occupied home near Smyrna, said Rutherford County Detective Jamin Humphress.

Suspect Brandon Tylar Mulac, 21, of Peachtree Drive in Smyrna has been charged with 5 counts of Aggravated Assault, 1 count of Attempted Aggravated Child Neglect, Possession of a Weapon by a Felon and Criminal Conspiracy. The Sheriff's Office previously reported, "Mulac and a companion drove to the home with the intention of fighting with Dylan Eversole at the home."

"Brandon fired three rounds in the yard where seven people were standing, some of whom were children," Detective Humphress said.

Mulac will be arraigned in Rutherford County Circuit Court on Monday, December 21, 2015.
