Looking back at the 2016 accident, the Tennessee Highway Patrol reported that Straughn was traveling west on Woodbury Pike (East Main Street) when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle that crossed the center line. The driver of the oncoming van was Johnson.

Straughn was killed in the crash. Her passenger was her infant daughter who received injuries in the mishap and had to be hospitalized.

Johnson along with his passengers ages 12,14 and 35 were all injured and transported to Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital after colliding with Straughn. Johnson was charged with four counts of vehicular assault due to his three passengers and Straughn's infant child that was with her when the wreck occurred.

Rachel Hartman, a cousin of Lorrie Straughn told us that all she wanted to be was a mother...

Hartman said that her family will be following the case closely. Johnson is expected to file a plea on Tuesday.
