Man who has been booked into the local jail over 400 times rearrested for charging at an officer

A man who has been booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center over 400 times has been rearrested. 52 year old William Weesner was seen by Murfreesboro Police kicking a mailbox in front of Family Worship Center on Memorial Boulevard Tuesday night. He was then seen striking a metal chain against a truck that was next to the church.

A police report shows that Weesner charged at a police car when the officer turned on his blue lights. The officer got out of the car and ordered Weesner to get on the ground. The officer wrote, "Mr. Weesner began to run towards me and attempted to punch me several times."

Officer Adam reportedly struck Weesner with an ASP baton to get him to comply with verbal commands. Weesner was eventually placed in handcuffs and charged with three counts of vandalisim, two counts of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, public intoxication and resisting arrest.

Weesner's arrest record in Rutherford County dates back to 1979 when he was just 16-years old.
