The murder took place near the West Main Street Greenway path in the small creek that runs alongside the trail and railroad tracks.

Warner, who is homeless himself, was sentenced to life in prison. He was found guilty of first degree premeditated murder. Warner reportedly killed 52-year old Al Azraki because he stole his bike and tent.

Robert Strange, a man who had been drinking with Warner the day that Al Azraki was killed, testified that he was at a friend's West Main Street Apartment when Warner and Al Azraki left to go to the Imperial Inn on Broad Street. About an hour later Warner returned. Strange stated, "He was covered in blood [talking about Warner]." Strange told the courts, "He had blood all over his face, arms and legs."

Again, Charles Warner has been convicted for the 2014 murder of Al Azraki.
