50-year old Manfred Grill died in a single-vehicle crash on I-840, near mile marker 60, and the West Jefferson Pike exit. The fatal accident occurred a little before 5:00 o'clock Wednesday night (11/16/2016).

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said that Grill was traveling eastbound in his Nissan pickup. He veered off the road, over-corrected and flipped several times in the median.

The trooper reported that the lone occupant was wearing his safety belt.

Manfred Grill died at the scene.
