186 Credit cards were discovered in a Select Inn motel room on S. Church Street in Murfreesboro after officers followed their nose to the scent of marijuana.

MPD Officers Carroll and Crow were on routine patrol when they smelled the odor that was strong enough to easily track down. Once at the motel room in question, they were actually granted permission to enter. Inside, they discovered the credit cards, a laptop computer, a credit card punch machine and a credit card scanner / embedder. Needless to say, the two suspects in question were quickly apprehended and charged with criminal simulation and simple possession of marijuana.
