The Murfreesboro City Council has narrowed their choices for the sale and development of the old First Methodist Church building at the corner of East College and Church Streets.

Mayor Shane McFarland tells NewsRadio WGNS the council made it clear that, at a minimum, they wanted to save the bell tower:

The mayor says the city council will choose between the two proposals before the end of the year:

McFarland expects construction to begin in sometime in 2018.
