McDonald's Employee Arrested for Vandalism at Hardee's & Other Businesses

A 21-year old employee of McDonald's was arrested and charged with vandalism of the Hardee's on N.W. Broad. Gary Marcel Smith of 1137 N.W. Broad Street reportedly kicked at the door of Hardee's just after 4:15 Saturday morning. When police arrived on the scene, he fled across the street to the nearby bowling alley and then onto Salon Suites before being arrested.

Smith is also accused of kicking at the doors of those businesses as well. He faces three counts of vandalism and resisting arrest. In addition, a warrant's check revealed he was wanted for violation of parole out of Wilson County. He was taken to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center and faces an eight-thousand dollar bond. He'll be in court October 29th to answer to the charges.
