The Stones River Watershed Association will hold a meeting on Saturday (5/19/18). The meeting will be at the Historic Oakland's Park Pavilion (900 N. Maney Avenue).

During the meeting, new board members will be voted on and the Cumberland River Compact's Stream Adoption Program will be discussed. The program allows residents in areas like Rutherford County to adopt a stream that groups can work to keep clean, thanks to the Basin Adopt-A-Stream initiative.

The City of Murfreesboro will also talk about park initiatives at the meeting that involve local waterways.
