On Wednesday, February 15, 2017, the Murfreesboro Planning Commission convenes at 1:00PM in the City Hall to look at a request for four lots on the Haynes Family Property. This 28.3 acres of land is presently zones CH and RM-16. It is located along Memorial Boulevard and Kings Ridge Drive. Terry Haynes is listed as the developer.

A neighborhood group has circulated information that Aldi Groceries might be one of the tenants. The rumors of a "big box store" in the area also persist.

The Haynes property is in the vicinity of where a new restaurant, The Local, will also be located. That eatery is a part the The Boulevard which is at the corner of Middle Tennessee and East Main. Instead of the MTSU theme like The Boulevard, The Local will have a more neighborhood theme.
