Murfreesboro Police have been busy investigating aggravated burglaries. A Sunset Drive home was broken into sometime Wednesday. The victim told authorities she and her husband left just after 7 and when she returned home, noticed the rear door was slightly open. Once inside, the victim saw several items in the floor and the home had been ransacked. Among the items missing: a laptop and various jewelry items.

In another case, someone broke into a Sorrell Court home and rummaged through the home. Police were called just after 5am Thursday when the victim noticed someone had broken into their garage. A purse belonging to the girlfriend of the victim's son, which was inside the home, was found in the garage and a pistol was taken. A silver Macbook Air and another Macbook computer were also taken in the burglary.
