MPD Promotes 6 Officers

On Friday (8/18/2017) the Murfreesboro Police Department held a special ceremony during which four sergeants and two lieutenants received promotions.

Chief Karl Durr told those in attendance, "I proudly congratulate these officers on their promotion. Their continued service and leadership will play an important role in reducing crime and making a difference in the lives of the people we serve."

Congratulations

  • Lieutenant Allen Cox began his career at the MPD in 1994 and has served as a Motorcycle Officer and Sergeant, both in the Uniformed Division.
  • Lieutenant Clayton Williams began his career at the MPD in 2004 and has served as a Motorcycle Officer and Traffic Sergeant.
  • Sergeant Hayley Alden began her career at the MPD in 2009 and has served on the Special Operations Unit and as a Field Training Officer.
  • Sergeant Palmer Gibbs began his career at the MPD in 2008 and has served on the Special Operations Unit, COPS Unit, and as a Field Training Officer.
  • Sergeant Stephen McGowan began his career at the MPD in 2008 and has served on the Special Operations Unit and as a Field Training Officer.
  • Sergeant Joshua Meredith began his career at the MPD in 2008 and has served as a Field Training Officer.
