MPD Promotes Detectives Wayne Lawson and Katrina Henderson to Sergeant

The Murfreesboro Police Department announced today the promotions of Detectives Wayne Lawson and Katrina Henderson to Sergeant in the Criminal Investigations Division.
Sergeant Wayne Lawson began his career with MPD in 1994 and has worked as a Detective since 1998. He has served as a Field Training Officer and has trained other law enforcement officers across the state on issues related to domestic violence and child abuse. Lawson has received numerous commendations throughout his career and is considered one of the best child abuse investigators in the state.
Sergeant Katrina Henderson began her career with MPD in 1998 and served as a Field Training Officer from 2004 until 2006 when she became a Detective. She was the 2010 Law Enforcement Officer of the Year for the Stones River Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution and has received many other commendations throughout her career.
The Murfreesboro Police Department congratulates both on their promotions.
