The teams have met twice this year. Both games went to overtime. Both won at the others home gym. Now, MTCS and Eagleville will meet on a neutral floor to determine the District 9-A Boys District Championship. Middle Tennessee Christian, the tournament's number one seed, got past Forrest 72-70 Monday night, to reach the title game for the second straight year. Derrick Spears had 22 points in the win, Ben Brown with 15.

Eagleville, the tournament's sixth seed, stunned Fayetteville on the road Friday night to reach the semifinals to battle Community. The Vikings surprised number two seed Cascade last Friday to get there. They would both battle Monday night down to the wire. Tied at 26 at halftime, Eagleville beat Community 51-46.

The Cougars and Eagles will play for the championship Friday night at 7:30 at Motlow State Community College in Tullahoma.
