Murfreesboro City Schools offer "Serving Up Soul" event for African American Community

The Murfreesboro City Schools will celebrate the African American legacy with a special event entitled ‘Serving Up Soul’ on Thursday (2/21/13) night at 5.

The public is invited to enjoy the culture through art, food, and music including entertainment from students of Bradley Academy, Bellwood Preschool and the African American community. The night will also feature a silent auction, food tastings, art displays and community booths.
 
The event will be at the Patterson Park Community Center on Mercury Blvd. in Murfreesboro. 
 
Serving as guest speaker for the event is WSMV reporter and photojournalist Larry Flowers. Over his career, Flowers has been named Mississippi’s Best Photographer from the Associated Press as well as received regional awards for his Crime Stoppers reporting.
