Murfreesboro Council to review the proposed city budget on Thursday

The Murfreesboro City Council will conduct a Public Hearing, Thursday June 4, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, for the purpose considering first reading of the proposed FY 2015-2016 Budget ordinance.

For the 17th consecutive year, Murfreesboro's $134 million Fiscal Year 2015-16 proposed budget does not call for a property tax hike and maintains expected municipal service levels to the over 116,000 residents of the community. The proposed budget would take effect July 1, 2015, following review and approval by the Council.
