The City of Murfreesboro is currently addressing a 2016 moratorium on proposals for apartment complexes that was enacted in August of 2016 for a six month period. The Mayor told WGNS that in 2016, the city was overwhelmed by requests from contractors to build multi-family housing structures.

The council is looking to decide where such zoning for multi family housing would be acceptable.

The Murfreesboro City Council will gather Thursday, January 12, 2017 in Room 218 of the City Hall to discuss multi-family housing in Murfreesboro. The meeting will be at 7PM.
