A 33-year old Murfreesboro resident was pulled over and charged for the 5th time for driving on a revoked license. Suspect Charles K. Irish was stopped on Mercury Boulevard for having a non-functioning light over his license plate.

MPD Officer Primas wrote in an arrest report, “Upon my approach of the vehicle, I detected the smell of burnt marijuana along with a smell of unburned marijuana.” A very small amount of marijuana was discovered on Irish and he was charged with possession of a schedule six drug and with driving on a revoked license for the 5^th time. He was also served a warrant for violating his probation.

Irish was booked under a $44,500 bond and will appear in court on February 28.
