A 56 year old Murfreesboro man reported to police that he was stabbed in the hand. The report was filed at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital on Wednesday afternoon.

Police were called to the Emergency Room after receiving a call about a stabbing that had already occurred. When they arrived, they found that the victim had a severe laceration to his left hand. The aggravated assault happened at a mobile home on Wenlon Drive.

According to the victim, the suspect was named either "Justin or Dustin." No other information was given to police nor did he victim tell officers why he was stabbed or cut in the hand.

MPD Detectives took over the case.
