Murfreesboro Police Officer saves the life of a homeless man

A Murfreesboro Police Officer saved the life of a young man who was attempting suicide on Wednesday night next to the Publix Grocery Store on South Rutherford Boulevard.

When Officer Jeffery Pulford arrived on the scene, he found a 25 year old homeless man with a cord wrapped around his neck. The police report shows that the man's face was purple when Officer Pulford pulled up and the subject was not breathing. The officer quickly cut the cord off the victim and began CPR.

The 25 year old man survived and was transported to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital where further treatment was administered.

As for Officer Pulford, this is his first year on the job in Murfreesboro.
