Murfreesboro says: Roadwork continues, new sewer lines
May 30, 2008
NOTICE: From the City of Murfreesboro
A sewer rehabilitation project will close portions of Northwest Broad Street on both sides of, and within eyesight of, the street’s intersection with South Church Street Monday through Wednesday nights next week.
This is roughly between Ash Street on the east and Tommy Martin Drive next to Murfreesboro City Hall on the west.
The work will improve existing sewer lines under the street that experience the most inflow from outside sources like storm water, Murfreesboro Water and Sewer Department (MWSD) Engineer Jim Harris said. Keeping this water out of the lines means less is treated at a lower cost for ratepayers.
Most of the rehabilitation work will occur between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. the next morning, Harris said. Appropriate signage will be posted though little traffic interruption is expected.
