Quick work by police landed one person in jail and the recovery of a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta that was stolen from a home on Maymont Drive in Murfreesboro. The theft was reported this past week.

The owner of the car told Murfreesboro Police that he went outside and started his car, allowing it to warm up. He then went back into the house for a short time, which is when the VW was stolen...

Again, the car was located just two hours after it was stolen. The victim was told that one person has been arrested as a result of police finding the car in Nashville.

The victim will be retrieving the car from the impound lot in Davidson County on Monday afternoon (10/17/16).
