Stabbing a subject is one way to break up a fight, according to a recently filed Murfreesboro Police Report.

Earlier this week on Tuesday around 1:30 in the morning, 22 year old Lauren Durham noticed her ex-boyfriend was following her after she left a bar on the Murfreesboro square. So, she reportedly called her new boyfriend to advise him that the old boyfriend was following her. After driving away, she told her new boyfriend that she was pulling into the Red Lobster parking lot to speak with her ex.

As luck would have it, the new boyfriend showed up in the same parking lot and the two men allegedly got into a physical altercation. Before Ms. Durham left the scene in her car, she told police that she got a knife out of her center console and "Went over and stabbed her ex to make them stop fighting."

When police spoke to the stabbing victim in the hospital emergency room he stated, "He didn't see who stabbed him."

Ms. Durham was arrested and charged with Aggravated Domestic Assault. She was booked under a $15,000 bond. She bonded out within an hour and a half. She will be due in court on November 17, 2016.
