NAACP Invites Public To POLITICAL FORUMS

The Murfreesboro NAACP is conduction two separate political forums at the Allen Chapel AME Church, 224 S. Maney Avenue. Both are are 7:00 o'clock in the evening; one is Monday (7/9/2018) and the other is Friday (7/13/2018).

The first public forum will be for candidates of the Murfreesboro City School Board. That will be at 7:00 o'clock Monday evening, July 9th.

There are 5 candidates seeking a full term on the Murfreesboro City School Board, and the top 3 vote recipients win.

In addition, there are 4 cadidates seeking to fill one unexpired term.

4th U.S. House of Representatives

The following Friday (7/13/2018) at 7:00PM brings the second forum that features candidates seeking the 4th District U.S House of Representatives position.

Murfreesboro NAACP Executive Committee Member Peggy Swann said, "We invite you to hear candidates running for office make their case. Forums are a great way to hear accomplishments to date, plans for the future, and key insights as they answer questions about concerns for our city, Rutherford County, and surrounding counties."
