GLADEVILLE - Some possible good news for race car fans. The Nashville Super Speedway in Wilson County, which is on the Rutherford County line, has been sold. Dover Motorsports has sold the property and any equipment at the site to NeXovation.  The sale will be final later this year.

The raceways have been closed for a number of years. This could mean they will reopen in the near future.

The  construction of an addition to the site in 1999 included bonds from Wilson County.  The remaining $18 million in bonds will be paid back once the deal is closed.

Total sales price is said to be $46 million.
