“Both Cedar Grove and Walter Hill have high value added composite scores so Campbell will be a good fit for Walter Hill,” Director Odom said. “The Tennessee Department of Education also selected Campbell as a statewide trainer this summer to train other administrators in the teacher and administrator evaluation model. She recognizes good teaching and has high expectations for student academic growth.”

Campbell has been an educator for nearly 12 years. She previously served as the Social Studies department chair at Blackman Middle School and has taught at LaVergne Middle School, Blackman High School and in Arkansas. She will complete her educational specialist degree in May.

“I'm very excited about becoming a part of the Walter Hill family and working with the students, the staff, the parents and the community as we work to help our children learn,” Campbell said.

The appointment takes effect immediately. An assistant principal for Cedar Grove Elementary will be selected soon.
