The dog was advertised by the victim on CraigsLists.org for $650. The culprit who was purchasing the animal told the victim to take $650 out of the check to cover the cost of the dog and mail the rest back. She did. The bank later told the woman that the check was no good and that she was responsible for the money deposited.

Wednesday morning fire at Regal Inn on South Church St. being investigated

On January 11th  at approximately 2:50 PM an Asian or light skinned black male entered the GNC store located at 801 Industrial Blvd in Smyrna and allegedly made an eight dollar purchase that he paid for with a counterfeit $50.00 bill. He left the store and returned within a couple of minutes and got change for another $50.00 bill which was also counterfeit.

This most recent arrest of Richard Bobbitt occurred on Friday, January 18th in Rutherford County. A booking document from the Sheriff’s Office shows that Bobbitt was released 9-hours later after posting bond on Saturday, January 19th. The outline of Bobbitt’s charges state, “Driving on revoked first offense and greater” and “DUI 4th or greater (Felony).”
