The bomb squad was called out to a Smyrna home this (Friday) morning after reports of an explosive device. There was no bomb found and the area was cleared around Cheatham Drive and Old Nashville Highway. Area residents probably noticed emergency crews at the VFW building on the Old Nashville Highway. They used that as a staging area for their investigation and even closed a few roads. The entire area has been cleared.
