Storms rocked Rutherford County late Thursday night into Friday morning. High winds brought down trees and powerlines in scattered locations across the county. Some small hail was reported with the storms, but it was mostly a wind problem we faced. Some measured gusts were up close to 80 miles per hour. Very heavy rain also fell during the storms. A storm around 7pm in southern sections of the county was just a prelude to the overnight activity. However, one-inch hail was reported in Christiana during that storm. A full check of the Weather Eye forecast and a look at Friday night football weather and the weekend is coming up.
