A Smyrna favorite is back open. The Omni Hut Restaurant welcomed in customers for the first time since being forced to close in April to revamp their business model.

The popular eatery is now open for a new lunch buffet, Tuesday through Friday, from 11am until 2pm. Tuesday was their first full day back open and owner Polly Walls was thankful for the patrons who came by:



You will be able to enjoy many of the same menu items that have been offered at the popular eatery since opening in 1960.

You'll recall we told you in previous NewsRadio WGNS broadcasts Omni Hut was forced to shut down in April due to a lack of employees. Walls said a lunch buffet requires less labor, which allowed them to reopen.
