STEM Day will have several activities that include the Boat Float in which 4th grade students were tasked with creating boats that will be placed in the creek on Thursday. For the team to be successful, the boat must hold principal Don Bartch and allow him to paddle across the stream.

The students have built these boats using recycled materials including milk jugs, 5 gallon water jugs, wooden platforms, etc. The boat will float originally for the grade level viewing during the morning and then again during STEM night for parents to view.

A museum like exhibit will also be set up allowing students and others to explore Ancient China, Greece, and Rome. These are set up like a museum with info, maps and characters in costume. The life size Biome Habitat this year is Ancient Egypt, complete with the Nile River including irrigation and engineering. There is a mummification chamber, King's chamber, and treasure room. OCE students will serve as tour guides.
