An accidental drug overdose was reported in Murfreesboro several days ago that summoned the assistance of police.

Apparently, officers were called to the parking lot of Student Quarters Apartment Complex on Hazelwood Street after receiving a report that a man was lying down in the parking lot. Officers say that the subject believed the world was about to end. At one point, the 32 year old grabbed a female friend at which time police had to physically separate the two. The subject then started kicking as emergency personnel arrived to help the overdosed man.

The culprit had to be strapped to a stretcher before he was transported to the hospital. A friend of the man stated that he has never seen him act this way when taking acid. However, the type of drug he actually took was never verified when officers were on the scene.

Reports indicate a full recovery is expected and the incident was labeled as an accidental drug overdose.
