Panel looking at candidates for new Circuit Judgeship

The Trial Court Vacancy Commission will consider seven applicants when it meets on August 8, 2018 in Murfreesboro to select nominees for the Circuit Court vacancy in the 16th Judicial District - Cannon and Rutherford counties.

This new judicial position was created by Chapter 974 of the Public Acts of 2018 and is effective September 1, 2018.

The applicants are:

R. Michelle Blaylock-Howser - Christiana: In her application for the position, Blaylock-Howser said, "I am seeking this position because I have a desire for public service and a strong sense of justice. I believe my personality, temperament, legal experience and life experiences make me best equipped to be a judge at this time in my life. . ." CLICK her name to see entire application

Dodd - Murfreesboro: Dodd notes, "I seek this position to fully utilize my professional, educational, and personal experiences to be of service to the people of the Sixteenth Judicial District. Lisa Ann Eischeid - Murfreesboro: Eischeid explained in her application, "Two years ago I ran for the newly created Rutherford County General Sessions Judge Part IV. I became interested in this seat since it was a new position and was not already held by a sitting Judge.
