Patron of business claims the store has illegal gambling machines

A woman by the name of Kimberly Griffin went to the Murfreesboro Police Department on Tuesday to report a business that she claims has illegal gambling machines.

According to the report on file at the MPD, "Ms. Griffin stated that she wanted to report illegal gambling machines and activities taking place at 810 NW Broad Street, suite 258 (Super Cheap Cigarettes)." The accused business is located in the Jackson Heights Plaza in Murfreesboro.

The report further stated that the 7 machines are located in the back room of the business, hidden by a door that says, "Employees Only." Officer Haley wrote, "Ms. Griffin stated that she had been at this location on several occasions over the past couple of months and engaged herself in the gambling activities." She went on to say that the business closes nightly at 10:00, but patrons remain on site gambling to midnight or later.

Right now, the case is centered on accusations. No arrests or seizure of equipment has been reported by the police department.

According to a property description on the police report, the business allegedly has the following gambling devices:

  • Two Captain Jack Machines
  • One Cherry Master Machine
  • One Crazxy Bugs Machine
  • Two Star Machines
  • One Poker Machine
