Rutherford County Property Assessor Rob Mitchell says the Personal Property Schedules for Rutherford County Businesses will be mailed this week. The schedules are mailed by February 1 every year to each business operating in the county. The schedules are to be completed and returned by the business owner or the business owner’s representative on or before March 1 to the county assessor. If the business owner does not receive a schedule, they should call the local assessor’s office for a schedule.

The Property Assessor’s Office is now making available to all businesses the ability to file their personal property schedule online. This service will allow business owners the ability to quickly file their personal property schedule online without the hassle of any additional paperwork.

The purpose of instituting the personal property schedule online is to help business owners save time and money with the annual filing of their personal property schedules.
