Pet lovers and their furry friends have a day catered just to them coming up soon. Kelton's Pet Day in May, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 7 at Kelton's Hardware & Pet, located on 2780 Old Fort Parkway in Murfreesboro.

The event will feature free professional pet photos, several product samples and discounts, lots of give-a-ways, balloon animal art for the kids and access to Kelton's free dog wash. Pet nail clippings will be available for $5. Attendees can enter to win valuable door prizes. There will be free food and drinks from 11am-1pm.

Kelton's has once again partnered with Beesley Animal Humane Foundation, which will be collecting donations at the event.

"Since beginning Pet Day in May over 4 years ago, it's proven to us that animal lovers love our store," said owner Jason Kelton. "We're grateful that the community recognizes that Kelton's is the best place for quality products for their pets."

Pet Day in May is free to attend and all dogs must be leashed.

"It's always so great to see folks so excited to spend a fun day with their animals and we get to know them better," Kelton said.

Angel Paw's Pet Adoption and Music City Greyhound Adoption will also be at Pet Day in May for anyone who wants to add to their pet-brood. Other notable vendors include: Custom Care Kennels, Cynthia Hollis Nail Trimming, Doggies Day Out, Gordon Images, Karen's Pet Care, My BFF Treats, Pet Safari Resort, Treat Me Good Dog Barkery and the Rutherford County Sheriffs Department K9 Unit --to name a few.
