The Jim Tracy for Congress campaign announced that it raised more than $172,000 in the first quarter of 2014. This brings the total amount raised for the campaign to nearly $1.25 million from over 1,640 unique donors.

“The financial support we have received will allow us to get our message out to the citizens of the 4th Congressional District,” said Tracy for Congress Finance Chairman Shane Reeves. “We are about 90 days from early voting and I am confident that the voters will elect Jim Tracy. We need a strong conservative leader in Washington, and Jim Tracy is the right person for the job.”

The Tracy for Congress campaign has continued to focus on building a grassroots organization. In addition, Tracy can also boast a low burn rate with $913,000 cash on hand at the end of the first fundraising quarter compared to $198,000 cash on hand for DesJarlais.

“My wife Trena and I are encouraged by the amount of support we continue to receive throughout the district,” said Tracy. “I will be out in the district everyday meeting with people. It is time to bring Tennessee Common Sense to Washington D.C.”
