UPDATE: Smyrna Murder Suspect Turns Himself In

The search is over for 35-year old Davavous Jerome Drennen. He's the man suspecting of murdering a man over a fight regarding a dog.

Sergeant Bobby Gibson tells NewsRadio WGNS Drennen came to the Smyrna Police Department and turned himself in on a charge of Criminal Homicide.

Drennen allegedly shot Robert Wilson last Friday in the chest during an argument over the treatment of a dog at the Uptown Suites on President Place in Smyrna.

He was processed and transported to the Rutherford County Detention Center on a $200,000 bond. His first court date is scheduled for August 7th.

The search continues for 35-year old Davavous Jerome Drennen. He's the man suspecting of murdering a man over a fight regarding a dog.

Smyrna Police Department Detective Steve Martin says Robert Wilson was killed last Friday (7-27-18) after being shot in the chest during the argument over the treatment of a dog at the Uptown Suites on President Place in Smyrna.

Detective Martin says the dog that was witnessed to being mistreated is at Rutherford County PAWS in Murfreesboro.

Drennon is still at large and considered armed and dangerous. He also goes by the nicknames Slim or Slim Body.

Authorities believe that Drennen shot a man in the chest when he got into an argument over the treatment of a dog at the Uptown Suites on President Place in Smyrna. Drennen was seen leaving the scene in a white Chevy Impala.

A warrant for "Criminal Homicide" has been issued for Drennen.
