Providence Christian Academy's application for membership in the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association's (TSSAA) was approved by the TSSAA Board of Control. This approval is the culmination of several months of study and research conducted by the PCA Athletics Committee. In their research, the committee determined that the next step for the PCA athletics program was to apply for membership in the TSSAA. With today's approval, PCA will compete in Division II - A.

"Membership in the TSSAA begins an exciting new era for PCA," states PCA Headmaster, Dr. Bill Mott. "We believe this move will help the school continue to grow and it will also be an attractive addition to what we already provide."

Beginning in 2016-2017, PCA will offer the following sports: boys' and girls' golf; boys' and girls' tennis; girls' cross country, girls' volleyball; boys' and girls' basketball; and boys' soccer. As enrollment increases the school will consider additional sports.

"I want to take this opportunity to thank the TSSAA for this opportunity, the PCA Athletics Committee for their dedication to this process, and to the Board for their commitment to recognizing the importance and value of taking this significant step," states Mott.
