The Murfreesboro City Council is having a two-hour workshop session at 11:30 this coming Wednesday (10/10/2018) morning in the council chambers. The public s welcome to attend.
Selected representatives from the City of Murfreesboro staff will talk with council members about:
- Acceptance of FY18 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (Action Item)
- Proposed Pay Plan
- Downtown Development Update
- Solid Waste Cost of Service Study
- McKnight Park Property Conversion
Additionally, the regular workshop meetings allow staff to discuss City matters with Council in a public meeting that citizens can attend and observe, in keeping with Council priority for community engagement.
On July 26, 2018, the council adopted Resolution 18-R-23 that establishes regular Council Meeting dates as Thursday nights at 7:00PM and adds the second Wednesday for a daytime Workshop Session from 11:30AM to 1:30PM. The workshop format allows staff and council to discuss city issues, facilitate discussions, provide information, and receive council direction.
