City Construction Projects

Joe B Jackson Pkwy Construction Project (I-24 and S Church Street)

Expected Lane Closures:  Monday through Friday: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm:  Storm pipe installation work continues on the north side of Joe B Jackson Pkwy between S Church Street and Parson Road.  Utility service connection work continues along Joe B Jackson between S Church Street and Stevens Bend Road.  There will be incidental lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Overall Creek Elementary School Roadway Project (Veterans Pkwy at Mooreland Lane)

Expected Road Closures:  September 3^rd 2013 through June 21^st 2014:  Mooreland Lane at Veterans Pkwy closed in preparation for the new roadway construction and utility work.  All traffic to and from Veterans Pkwy and Mooreland Lane will be detoured through State Route 96 and Rucker Lane.  Proper traffic controls will be in place.

Veterans Pkwy aka Kimbro Road Widening Project (Barfield Road to Saint Andrews Drive)

Expected Lane Closures:  Monday through Friday:  6:30 am to 4:30 pm:  Utility work continues along Veterans Pkwy.  There will be incidental lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Comcast Fiber Project

1)     Thompson Lane between Amory Dr and Medical Center Pkwy
2)     S Church Street at Warrior Drive 

Expected Lane Closures: Tuesday: 8:00 pm to 3:00 am: The contractor for Comcast will be installing fiber optic lines on Thompson Lane and on S Church Street.  There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions.   Appropriate traffic controls and will be in-place. All work will be done at night.
