Summer in the city, smart to avoid that block--as Ram reports grid lock. City Traffic Engineer Balachandran warn where to cruise and where to avoid today through July 19th.

Joe B Jackson Pkwy Construction Project (I-24 and S Church Street)

Expected Lane Closures:  Monday through Friday: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm:  Sidewalk, base stone and curb & gutter construction work continueson Joe B Jackson Pkwy between S Church St and Stevens Bend Subdivision.  There will be incidental lane closures traffic interruptions for stone and concrete deliveriesbetween 7 am and 8 am.  On Monday, July 14, traffic on Joe B Jackson Pkwy between S Church Street and County Farm Road will be shifted to the south side and the contractor will be working on the north side.  Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Overall Creek Elementary School Roadway Project (Veterans Pkwy at Mooreland Lane)

Expected Road Closures:  Monday through Friday:  Incidental construction and utility work continues at Veterans Pkwy and Kingdom Dr aka Mooreland Lane.  Traffic pattern has changed on Mooreland Lane which now connects Kingdom Dr.  Paving work continues on Otter Trail, Charity Lane and Kingdom Dr.  Proper traffic controls will be in place.

Veterans Pkwy aka Kimbro Road Widening Project (Barfield Road to Saint Andrews Drive)

Expected Lane Closures:  Monday through Friday6:30 am to 4:30 pm:  Public Utility (Electric) work continues along Veterans Pkwybetween Yeargen Rd and Barfield Rd.  Sidewalk, curb and gutter, base stone and storm drain construction workcontinues on Veterans Pkwyaround the Cason Lane and Saint Andrews Dr. areas.  There will beincidental lane closures and traffic interruptions (trucks entering and exiting the job site). Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Memorial Blvd Walmart Project (just north of Airport Road)

Expected Lane Closures:  Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm:  The Traffic Signal Contractor for the project will be installingtraffic signal pole foundations.  Southbound traffic on Memorial Blvd will be reduced to one lane at Airport Road.  Northbound traffic will not be affected. On Saturday, July 12, traffic on Airport Road will shifted to the south side and the contractor will be working on the north side.  Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Bridge over Broad Street TDOT Project

Expected Lane Closures:  Monday through Friday, 8:00 pm to 5:00 am:  There will be alternating lane closures on NW Broad Street, Ridgley Road and W College Street for underground utility crossings.  There will be lane shifts and traffic interruptions.  Broadmor Blvd is closed to traffic at Memorial Blvd for utility crossing construction work.  Broadmor Blvd can still be accessed from NW Broad Street.  W Lytle Street is also closed to traffic at NW Broad Street for construction work.  Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

AT&T Aerial Fiber Work (Thompson Lane between Old Fort Pkwy and Medical Center Pkwy)

Expected Lane Closures:  Tuesday &Wednesday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm:  AT&T crews will be installing aerial fiber cables on Thompson Lane between Old Fort Pkwy and Medical Center Pkwy.   Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Innsbrooke Blvd Turn Lane Improvement Project

Expected Lane Closures:   Mondaythrough Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: The contractor for Kroger Development will be adding double left turn lane and medianimprovement onInnsbrooke Blvd at S Church Street.  There will be lane restrictions and traffic interruptions during construction.  Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Consolidated Utility District (CUD) Water Line Project (Wilkinson Pike near Blantons Pointe)

 

Expected Lane Closures:  Monday9:00 am to 3:00 pm:The contractor for CUD willbe installing a water line on Wilkinson Pike near Blantons Pointe.  There will be intermitten  lane closures  bore work will be doing roadway maintenance work on NW Broad Street just south of Florence Road.  There will beincidental lane closures and traffic interruptions (setting up the boring equipment).  Appropriate traffic controls and will be in place.

 

Memorial Blvd Mill and Overlay TDOT Project (between Byrd Ave and Thompson Lane/Compton Lane)

Expected Lane Closures:  Monday through Friday8:00 pm to 5:00 am: The contractor for TDOT will be cold planning, signalization and paving operations between Byrd Ave and Thompson Lane.  There will be alternating lane closures and traffic interruptions.  One lane will remain open in each direction on Memorial Blvd.  Appropriate traffic controls and will be in place.  All work will be done at night.

Turn Lane Improvement Project (just north of NW Broad Street and Florence Road)

Expected Road Closures:  Saturday, July 126:30 am to 12:00 noon: Pavement Marking crews willbe striping the new left turn lane on NW Broad Street just north of Florence Road.  There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions on NW Broad Street.  Appropriate traffic controls and will be in place.

Murfreesboro Urban Environmental Landscape Maintenance Project(Rutherford Blvd between Greenland Dr and Alumni Dr)

Expected Lane Closures:   Thursday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: The contractor for City of Murfreesboro Urban Environmental Department will be mulching around the median on Rutherford Blvd between Greenland Dr. and Alumni Dr.  The southbound inside lane next to the median will be closed as a moving operation.  Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.
