Random shooting of a car at Spring Valley Apartments in Murfreesboro

A shooting was reported at Spring Valley Apartments in Murfreesboro on Manor Drive. The person who called in the shots being fired told police that she was inside her apartment when she heard arguing. When she peeked out her window she saw a man pull a gun from the waistband of his pants. The man then opened fire and she quickly dived for cover. The man along with a small crowd at the apartment complex, quickly fled in multiple directions.

When police arrived at around 5:40 on Wednesday evening, they found that one car had an obvious bullet hole in the rear of the roof. Another bullet went through the window of the same car.

Three .45 caliber shell casings were recovered by police, the bullet shells were on the sidewalk near the car that was shot.

Initially, police were told that someone had been shot at the complex. However, they were unable to locate any possible gunshot wound victims.

The case remains open at this time.
