A woman in her early twenties told police in Murfreesboro that she was the victim of rape. The incident was said to have unfolded inside her Bradyville Pike apartment on Tuesday around 7:00 in the evening. Evidently, the woman knew the suspect in the case.

Paramedics arrived at Altitude Apartments to meet with the woman after they were called by police.

The case is open and being investigated by the Murfreesboro Police Criminal Investigations Division. No word on any arrests at this point.

In many of the rape cases, arrests are not made until the allegations are fully investigated and the evidence is put before a grand jury. That jury of anonymously selected individuals in our community then decide if the case should move forward and if there is enough information available to warrant criminal charges.
