The Child Advocacy Center helps children heal from the trauma, while connecting them to the resources in the community that are available to help them recover. And prosecutors from the District Attorney General's office handle the criminal cases once they get to court.

Prevent Child Abuse America launched the national Pinwheels for Prevention® campaign in April of 2008. This public awareness campaign uses community activities and public policies to prioritize prevention right from the start, making sure child abuse and neglect never occur.

If you suspect someone may be the victim of child abuse or neglect, don't hesitate to call the Department of Children Services. Report Child Abuse: 877-237-0004. Callers do not have to know all the details of the abuse or neglect. The Hotline case managers use the information you provide to determine the severity of the situation and how best to intervene.
