Redstone Federal Credit Union Brightness Crews took to the streets again Friday to buy back-to-school supplies, clothing and shoes for unsuspecting shoppers in Murfreesboro and Fayetteville.
It is the second year that Redstone purchased school supplies and clothing as part of its Acts of Brightness initiative. Throughout 2017, Redstone also bought groceries and lunches, paid for utilities and cable bills, and so much more.
"We are so excited to go out into the community again with another Acts of Brightness. Serving our communities is a part of our mission and Redstone looks for ways to impact lives each and every day,'' said Fred Trusty, Chief Marketing Officer. "It's also a real treat for our employees who look forward to it each time.''
On Friday, July 20, Redstone sent out 13 teams of five people each to visit locations in Alabama, near its branches. Crews visited stores popular for back-to-school shopping.
Redstone's Acts of Brightness will continue over the next few months when the crews will be out again in their florescent yellow logo shirts.
